The most common form of massage, Swedish massage involves manipulation of the muscles and connective tissues of the body for relaxation and health maintenance.  This type of massage uses light to medium pressure strokes and is most effective for relaxing the body, calming the nervous system and increasing circulation of blood and lymph.

This type of massage is designed to work deeply into the muscles and connective tissue to release chronic aches and pains.  Deep tissue massage uses slow strokes, direct pressure and friction applied across the grain of the muscles.

 “Ashi” means foot and “atsu” means pressure. Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique in which the therapist delivers deep, broad strokes utilizing their feet and body weight while holding onto overhead parallel bars for balance and support. Many Ashiatsu strokes help elongate the spine and dramatically stretch shortened muscles, helping relieving pain and discomfort.

For women in their second or third trimester, Pregnancy Massage is designed to nurture mother and baby.  Pregnancy Massage relieves the physical and hormonal discomforts during pregnancy such as backaches, leg cramps, anxiety fatigue and headaches.  We have supportive pregnancy pillows designed to allow comfortable, face-down or side-lying massage.

MLD gives the immune system a boost by stimulating the lymphatic system to help detoxify the body, reduce swelling/bloating, relieve sinus pressure and re-energize you. It is excellent after an illness, injury, before/after surgery, cosmetic surgery, chronic infections, autoimmune conditions and migraines. MLD is specifically developed to move lymphatic fluid, but also neurologically aids in stress reduction. It is very light and rhythmic, performed on the skin w/o oil.

This Japanese spiritual healing technique is administered by "laying of the hands" on or above the body to promote the flow of energy for physical, emotional and spiritual healing.  Each session is individually crafted to the client's needs.  A Reiki session is done with the client completely clothed, lying on a massage table.  Session includes time on the table and discussion.

CranioSacral Therapy is a gentle, yet profound modality for bringing your mind, body, and spirit into balance. With light touch and still holds to the cranium and sacrum (as the name implies) as well as various other "listening stations", the therapist detects and manipulates the pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid that nourishes, protects and detoxifies the brain and spinal chord.This therapy eases restrictions in the central nervous system bringing relief from pain, anxiety, insomnia.
